Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the schedule for a highly anticipated tri-series featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa, set to take place from February 8 to 14.
The series will adopt a single-league format, with the first two matches scheduled at Lahore’s Gaddafi stadium and the remaining league game, along with the final, to be hosted at the National Bank stadium in Karachi, Express News reported.
The opening match will see Pakistan face New Zealand on Saturday, February 8, at Gaddafi stadium, with the first ball bowled at 2 pm local time.
The second game between New Zealand and South Africa will be a day match on Monday, February 10, starting at 9:30 am.
Action will then move to Karachi, where Pakistan will take on South Africa in a day-night fixture at 2 pm on February 12.
The final will take place on Friday, February 14, also starting at 2 pm local time.
PCB has taken the opportunity to showcase its upgraded venues ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Gaddafi stadium has seen major renovations, including increased seating capacity, installation of 480 led lights, new chairs, and two digital replay screens for an enhanced fan experience.
Similarly, the National Bank stadium has undergone improvements with 350 led lights, 5,000 new chairs, and a new hospitality enclosure for players and officials.
PCB aims to provide a world-class experience for players, officials, and spectators.
Both Pakistan and New Zealand will hold a training session under lights at Gaddafi stadium on February 6, while South Africa will train for the first time at the iconic venue on February 9.
The tri-series offers all three teams a chance to finalise preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, while allowing the PCB to demonstrate its readiness to host world-class cricket events.
