Punjab is experiencing a significant shift in weather patterns, with the winter season shortening and temperatures rising earlier than usual.

According to the Meteorological Department, dry weather persists across the province, reducing the severity of cold and bringing an early glimpse of spring, particularly in Lahore, Express News reported.

In the provincial capital, the minimum temperature recorded was 7°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 24°C.

The current dry spell is likely to continue for the next two to three days, with no forecast of rain during this period.

Meteorologists have observed that this year’s winter season has been notably brief, indicating a possible change in seasonal patterns.

Moreover, Karachi is experiencing a noticeable drop in temperature following the arrival of cold winds from Balochistan.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the cold spell will persist over the next few days, with the temperature potentially dropping to single digits, Express News reported.

On Thursday morning, Karachi's minimum temperature was recorded at 10.9°C, marking a 3.6°C decrease compared to the previous day.

The city is under the influence of a western weather system, causing frigid winds to sweep across the region.
