Aamina to reunite with Faysal for new project

It is always a treat when fan-favourite actors reunite for a new endeavour. And it is now confirmed the dynamic duo of Aamina Sheikh and Faysal Quraishi is set to grace screens once again.

While little is known about their reunion project at this stage, the anticipation has already energised fans everywhere. Aamina, who last appeared for a cameo in 2019 romcom Heer Maan Ja starring Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan, made the announcement on her Instagram handle.

From Mein Aur Tum to Umme Kulsoom, the actor's collaboration with Faysal spans years and has cultivated a mutual respect and fondness. "He stands grounded and firm as one of the most solid pillars of this industry, having given a plethora of incredibly diverse characters and nuances to our screen," Aamina praised Faysal in the Instagram post.

She went on to explain that her first innings were all about "learning how to swim in the deep end of complex narratives" that make Faysal an accomplished actor. "Not a single day did he make me feel any less. His experience, efficiency, and deep grasp of the process elevated mine. Such an honour for me to come back to the playing field, full circle, with Faysal Quraishi by my side."

Accompanying the post were pictures of the two actors posing together, breaking into friendly banter in the second slide. Resharing the note on Instagram Stories, Faysal matched her enthusiasm and remarked, "Don't even ask me how happy I am!"

Long-time fans were all hearts and appreciation for the two in the comments section. "I've watched each drama from the list above! Good old days," remarked one user. "My two favourites in one frame," another expressed.

Some followers were in awe of Aamina's way with words, as one user wrote, "What a generous, sincere, and eloquent acknowledgement of Faysal [as an] artist and as a person. [This] shows Aamina's own integrity."

Others were quick to lament the Cake actor's break from television. "Aamina, you're doing amazing, but we have missed your presence and energy.
