Clevedon Pier has installed a memorial plaque for late One Direction singer Liam Payne, featuring lyrics from the band's song "Walking in the Wind."
The plaque commemorates Payne, who tragically died on October 16, 2024, at 31, following a fatal fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Five individuals, including the hotel manager, receptionist, and Payne's friend, have been charged in connection with his death. Two additional people face charges related to drug supply.
One Direction recently re-released their 2013 documentary "This Is Us" in cinemas, with proceeds donated to mental health charities. Payne had previously been open about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse.
The pier's memorial notes Payne's birth and death dates, along with the poignant lyric: "If you're lost just look for me, you'll find me in the region of the summer stars."
