Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Iranian Armed Forces, visited Pakistan’s General Headquarters (GHQ) and met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, the military’s media wing said on Monday.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the prevailing regional security environment and explored avenues for bilateral defence cooperation, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Upon arrival, Major General Bagheri laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada, paying tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs. He was accorded a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army.

The visit underscores the continued efforts by both nations to strengthen regional security ties and enhance bilateral military collaboration.

Nayab Ahmad | 4 months ago | Reply How can Iran talk about regional military cooperation with Pakistan At the same time it is enjoying fullest cooperation and economic military friendship with our hostile neighbour India As a fellow Muslim country Iran must really clarify who it should support and ally with in today s world there s no longer any scope for Machiavellian diplomacy . It s high time for various Muslim countries to unite and put aside any and all differences.
