Elderly man robbed of Rs1.13m

The police have registered a case against unknown robbers and handed it over to the investigation police.

Bandits robbed an elderly trader of more than Rs1.13 million and his mobile phone at gunpoint at his doorstep in Malir district. When he resisted, the bandits tore his clothes and escaped.

Shah Latif Town police registered a case on the complaint of victim Haji Gul Rehman's son, Ubaid Mughal, who is a representative of a private TV channel and a foreign newspaper. He urged police take help of CCTV footage, provided by the family, to trace the culprits.

Three armed robbers, riding two motorcycles, reportedly chased the victim from the bank and deprived him of cash at the doorsteps. All three robbers were wearing shalwar-kameez, coats and jackets.

The police have registered a case against unknown robbers and handed it over to the investigation police.
