'Democracy suffering due to inaction of judiciary'

PM Gilani said democracy would not have suffered if the judiciary had taken prompt action on parliamentarian's fake degrees.

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that democracy would not have suffered if the judiciary had taken prompt action on parliamentarian's fake degrees.


Gilani said that politicians who are seeking mid-term elections should not contest by-polls, otherwise the situation would deteriorate.

Commenting on last night's terror attacks in Lahore, the prime minister expressed his sorrow and ensured that the terrorists would be brought to justice. He added that an important meeting regarding the law and order situation has been summoned.
