Heath Ledger's rarely seen daughter Matilda spotted in N.Y.C. days before father's death anniversary

19-year old Matilda was seen happily strolling the streets of Brooklyn alongside a friend.

Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams' 19-year old daughter made a rare public appearance in Brooklyn, NY over the weekend, as she was spotted sporting smiles and a coffee while hanging out with a friend.

The teenager stepped out in a casual outfit that comprised of a dark green puffer jacket paired with light wash, baggy jeans and accessorised with bright red a tote bag that matched her shoes.

The friend tagging along Matilda was Hamilton producer, Jefferey Seller's daughter, May Lehrer.

The outing comes day before the death anniversary of Matilda's father Heath Ledger who passed away on January 22, 2008. She was only 2 years old when he tragically died due to an accidental overdose.

An autopsy revealed that the “Dark Knight” star died “as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine”.

A few months prior to his death, Ledger and WIlliams, who met while co-starring in the 2005 film Brokeback Mountain, split after being together for three years. 

Since then, Matilda has only been spotted in public a few times including August of last year when she was stepped out in N.Y.C. alongside her mother.
