A heart-breaking incident occurred in the Jhanda Chichi area of Rawalpindi's Civil Lines police jurisdiction, where a stepmother allegedly killed her four-year-old stepson after brutally torturing him. The police have arrested the accused and registered a case.
According to police reports, Shahnaz Bibi, the mother of the child, explained that she had been married to Mohammad Ali for 15 years, with whom she had five daughters and two sons. Two years ago, her husband remarried Aqsa Naz, who has a six-month-old child. The family lived together in the same house.
Shahnaz revealed that her co-wife, Aqsa Naz, frequently mistreated her children. On the day of the incident, Shahnaz returned from her mother's house, accompanied by her brother-in-law, Shehzad Nazir. Upon entering the house, she found Aqsa Naz beating her four-year-old son, Abdul Hadi, with a stick and choking him. Shahnaz and her brother-in-law managed to rescue the child and rushed him to the hospital, but unfortunately, the child had already passed away by the time they arrived.
Shahnaz accused Aqsa Naz of murdering her son through brutal abuse. Police reached the hospital and found visible signs of torture on the child's neck and other parts of his body. A post-mortem was carried out, and a case was registered.
