A man allegedly killed his step son over a marital and property dispute with the help of his three daughters, buried him in a room and escaped.
The decomposed body of 28-year-old Asad Abid Hussein, a barber by profession, was discovered from a shallow grave in a room of a small house in the Noor Muhammad Goth area of Ahsanabad on the pointation of his mother, Razia Bibi.
The Site Superhighway police exhumed the body from the quarter and shifted it to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for postmortem.
Police have registered a murder case based on Razia Bibi's complaint, alleging that her husband, Tauqeer Hussain and his brother conspired to kill her son Asad to gain ownership of the house. The suspects have reportedly fled the city. Site Superhighway police station SHO Bilawal told the media that the accused tied his hands and feet and slaughtered Asad with a sharp tool, wrapped him in a blanket in the room of the house and buried him.
Razia Bibi stated that her first husband was a drug addict which led to their divorce 20 years ago. She later married Tauqeer Hussain and had three daughters, while her son from her first marriage, Asad, stayed with his grandparents.
Razia moved to Karachi 11 years ago, working as a domestic helper. She bought a plot and built a house, though it was registered in Tauqeer's name. Six months ago, Asad visited Karachi, and her brother-in-law, Fayyaz, allegedly promised him marriage to his daughter if he persuaded Razia to transfer the house to her name.
