Lake, 56, revealed that the home held significant sentimental value, as it was the place where she and her husband, Ross Burningham, were married in January 2022. She expressed deep sorrow over the loss, stating, "This loss is immeasurable. It's the spot where we got married 3 years ago."

The wildfires, which began on January 7, have devastated parts of Southern California, leading to mass evacuations and the destruction of numerous properties. Lake's home was among those affected in the Pacific Palisades area, one of the hardest-hit regions.

In her post, Lake also expressed empathy for others impacted by the disaster, writing, "I grieve along with all of those suffering during this apocalyptic event. Praying for all of my neighbors, my friends, my community, the animals, the firefighters and first responders."

This is not the first time Lake has faced such a loss. In September 2010, her rented Malibu beachfront property was destroyed by a fire caused by a mishap while refueling a portable heater.

The recent wildfires have affected several celebrities in the Los Angeles area. Actors Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, as well as Paris Hilton, have also reported the loss of their homes.
