WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for Android users through the Google Play Beta Program, with version 2.25.1.18 now available.

The update introduces a feature that allows users to create events in individual chats, marking an extension of the previously introduced event scheduling feature that was initially limited to group chats and community announcement groups.

This new functionality, which is set to be released in a future update, allows users to set up events directly in one-on-one chats, providing a more structured and seamless way to organize activities.

The event creation process will include a mandatory name field, an optional description, a date, and the ability to specify an end time. Users can also add a location or link the event to an audio or video call, offering flexibility for both in-person and virtual gatherings.

Once an event is created, it will be automatically shared with the other participant in the chat, who will then have the option to accept or decline the invitation.

This feature is expected to enhance coordination between users, minimizing the need for back-and-forth messaging to confirm event details.

The rollout of this feature is expected to improve the overall WhatsApp experience, especially for one-on-one interactions such as private tutoring sessions or personal meetings.
