The legal drama surrounding It Ends with Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has taken another contentious turn, with both sides trading serious accusations.
Lively, 37, has alleged that Baldoni fostered a “hostile work environment” during the film’s production, including claims of inappropriate behavior in her trailer and a lack of an intimacy coordinator during key scenes.
In response, Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman accused Lively of leading a calculated campaign against Baldoni. Freedman alleges that Lively’s complaint and subsequent media coverage are part of a pattern of “threats and bullying” to control the film. He also claimed, “Her own team orchestrated this vicious attack by sending The New York Times grossly edited documents.”
Lively’s legal team dismissed the counterclaims, calling Baldoni’s responses “hyperbole and threats.” They assert that her allegations, filed in December 2024, are backed by evidence and intend to prosecute the case in federal court. “Sexual harassment and retaliation are illegal in every workplace and in every industry,” they said in a statement to PEOPLE.
Baldoni has also filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against The New York Times, accusing the outlet of misrepresenting the situation and harming his reputation. Meanwhile, both stars remain locked in a public and legal battle that shows no signs of slowing down.
