In the midst of swirling rumours linking Indian cricketer Shubman Gill and actress Ridhima Pandit, the actress has finally addressed the speculation, putting an end to the gossip about their rumored wedding.
Gill, widely recognised for his impressive cricketing skills and boyish charm, has long been a target of media interest, with previous speculations tying him to prominent personalities such as Sara Tendulkar and actress Sara Ali Khan.
Recently, the rumour mill suggested a budding romance with Ridhima, known for her roles in popular TV shows like Bahu Hamari Rajnikant and Khatra Khatra Khatra. Reports began circulating that the two were set to marry in December 2024, sparking widespread buzz on social media.
However, Ridhima took to social media and the press to dispel the rumours. "I don’t know what to say about it, man. How is this thing not dying down? People seem to like the idea of me and him together, but I’ve never met him," she said with a touch of humour.
"All my best wishes to him, but nothing is brewing here. It’s December, and sorry to break hearts, but there’s no wedding," she added.
Ridhima also spoke about the toll the rumours have taken on her family, revealing that they had been bombarded with calls and messages.
Despite the attention, she clarified that she would prefer to be known for her work rather than being caught up in baseless gossip. "The attention is part of the industry, but my focus remains on my career," she added.
While Ridhima has broken her silence, Gill has yet to comment on the matter. Known for his reserved nature and focus on cricket, Gill has remained tight-lipped about his personal life, leaving the media to speculate.
His performance on the field has been under scrutiny recently, as he scored only 93 runs in five innings during the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, averaging a modest 18.60.
