Jemima Goldsmith, British film producer and ex-wife of former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan, was hospitalised after a hiking accident in Cape Town, South Africa, during a New Year's holiday.
Jemima Goldsmith, who was hiking with friends and family, fell while descending from the summit of Lion's Head, a popular mountain peak in Cape Town that rises 2,194 feet (669 metres) above sea level.
The fall resulted in an injury to her ankle and foot, leading to her immediate transport to a local hospital.
In an Instagram post, Jemima shared her experience with followers, revealing that she had been enjoying the scenic views from the summit before the accident occurred.
"Festive break (pun intended) in Cape Town," she wrote. "Embracing the highs and the lows of 2025 – incredible views from the summit of Lion’s Head with friends & fam, and then a tumble & an interminable hobble down in the dark. Happy New Year folks."
The film producer and founder of Instinct Productions posted a series of photographs documenting the aftermath of the incident.
One showed her in a hospital bed, wearing a protective walking boot on her right foot. Another picture captured her standing with crutches, smiling despite the injury.
Jemima Goldsmith reassured her followers that she was stable and recovering, although the fall was painful. "I’m getting better, thank you all for your well wishes," she added on social media.
She has recently been in the public eye for her advocacy regarding her ex-husband Imran Khan’s imprisonment.
Jemima Goldsmith and Imran Khan, who were married from 1995 to 2004, have two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim, both of whom live in London.
