Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have reached a settlement in their divorce, five months after Lopez filed in August 2024.

According to TMZ, the split is surprisingly amicable, with the couple agreeing to keep what they earned separately during their two-year marriage. Neither will pay spousal support.

Despite not having a prenuptial agreement, the divorce was reportedly negotiated “effectively like a prenup.” The settlement also includes confidential terms on the $61 million house they bought together, which is currently on the market. Lopez will also drop Affleck from her last name. The divorce is set to be finalized on February 20, 2025.

Affleck and Lopez, famously nicknamed "Bennifer," were first linked in the early 2000s and got engaged in 2002 before calling it off in 2004. After rekindling their romance in April 2021, the pair married in July 2022. However, Lopez filed for divorce last year, ending their nearly two-year union.

The former couple’s decision to settle amicably without dramatic disputes highlights their mutual respect during this process. Representatives for both Affleck and Lopez have yet to comment on the settlement.
