Matthew Livelsberger, the 37-year-old Green Beret responsible for the deadly Cybertruck bombing outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, reportedly told his ex-girlfriend he felt like "Batman" while driving the rented Tesla.

Chilling surveillance footage and text messages sent in the days leading up to the attack are now shedding light on the moments before the bombing, leaving investigators searching for answers to explain his shocking actions.

Newly released CCTV footage shows Livelsberger’s Cybertruck waiting at a traffic light near the Las Vegas strip just before 9 a.m. on January 1. The footage captures the vehicle turning toward the Trump Hotel, where it would later park before detonating. Packed with fuel canisters and fireworks, the Tesla exploded moments later, and Livelsberger fatally shot himself with a semi-automatic pistol.

As authorities continue their investigation into the motive behind this deadly act, new details about Livelsberger’s personal life have emerged. He had separated from his wife just days before the bombing, amid allegations of infidelity. Sources close to the investigation revealed that Livelsberger and his wife, who shared an eight-month-old daughter, had an argument before he left their home on December 26 and never returned.

Just days before the bombing, Livelsberger rented the Cybertruck through the Turo app. On December 29, he sent a series of strange text messages to his ex-girlfriend, Alicia Arritt. In the messages, he mentioned feeling like "Batman" while driving the Tesla and even shared images of the vehicle, calling it "the s***."

Livelsberger also commented on the car’s speed, describing it as "ungodly." He briefly discussed building drones, relating to his role in the Army, where he was stationed in Germany. Despite the oddness of the texts, Arritt said Livelsberger seemed fine when they spoke, expressing her shock upon learning of his involvement in the bombing.

Livelsberger’s family has been left stunned by the tragedy. His uncle, Dean, described him as a "supersoldier" and a deeply patriotic individual, reflecting on his long military career and support for Donald Trump. While investigators are still piecing together the circumstances surrounding the bombing, it remains unclear whether his personal beliefs or political leanings played a role in his actions. His military background—particularly his service in Ukraine—also adds to the complexity of understanding his motives.

Livelsberger served in the Green Berets for nearly 19 years and had recently been on approved leave. Although there is no definitive link between his bombing and a separate attack in New Orleans hours earlier, where another Army veteran killed 14 people in a vehicular assault, authorities are still investigating possible connections.

As the investigation continues, many questions remain about the factors that drove Livelsberger to commit such a devastating act. His shocking final messages, military background, and personal struggles have left both his family and the public searching for answers.
