LAHORE:

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has delayed the framing of charges in various cases related to the May 9 riots, which erupted following the arrest of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan, due to the absence of several accused individuals.

Accused Khadija Shah, Sanam Javed, and others, who were out on bail, did not appear before the court. As a result, the ATC judge has scheduled hearings for January 9 regarding the Shadman arson case and January 13 for the Askari Tower attack case.

The ATC judge presided over proceedings for two cases in jail but was unable to frame charges due to the absence of the accused. In contrast, accused individuals Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr Yasmeen Rashid, and others were present in court.
