Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup star, celebrated a poignant milestone with the birth of her daughter, Aurora Raina Urker. The baby girl was born at 9:48 a.m. on Dec. 28, exactly one year after Blanchard’s release from prison.
Aurora weighed 6 lbs., 5 oz., and her arrival marks a fresh chapter for Blanchard and her boyfriend, Ken Urker, who confirmed the news via Instagram.
“Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all,” wrote Urker, 31, alongside a photo of Blanchard cradling Aurora in the hospital.
Blanchard, 33, gained public attention as a victim of Munchausen by proxy, leading to her involvement in the 2015 murder of her mother, Dee Dee. Following eight years in prison, she has focused on rebuilding her life, rekindling her relationship with Urker after divorcing Ryan Anderson in April.
The couple revealed Aurora’s name reflects their fascination with the Northern Lights. “Both of us have a fascination with the Northern Lights … Aurora is what we both picked,” Blanchard shared.
Blanchard, who recently published her memoir My Time to Stand, emphasized her commitment to giving Aurora a better upbringing: “Giving my daughter a happiness I never knew growing up.”
