Part of building collapses in Karachi's Gulistan-e-Johar

Building collapse in Karachi's Gulistan-e-Johar area has trapped multiple individuals. Rescue efforts are underway.

A partial building collapse occurred in the Gulistan-e-Johar area of Karachi, near Johar Morr, trapping multiple individuals inside. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported.

According to rescue officials, the first-floor section of a flat, numbered A-16, collapsed onto the road. The building houses shops and a bank on its ground floor.

Police stated that the incident occurred when the shops were closed, but the bank staff, including both male and female employees, were trapped inside.

Emergency responders from the rescue team rushed to the scene immediately after receiving reports of the incident. Efforts are underway to safely evacuate those trapped inside the building.

The cause of the building collapse is currently unknown and under investigation.
