After a successful 40-day theatrical run, Wicked is finally available to stream on platforms like Prime Video starting December 31 at 12:00 a.m. ET/9:00 p.m. PT.

The film, based on the acclaimed Broadway musical, explores the backstory of the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba, played by Tony Award winner Cynthia Erivo, alongside Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good.

The movie, which has earned Golden Globe nominations for both Erivo and Grande, can be purchased on Prime Video for $29.99. While no rental options are currently available, viewers can enjoy a wealth of bonus features, including an alternate sing-along version, deleted scenes, and commentary from director Jon M. Chu and the leading stars.

Fans can also look forward to Wicked: For Good, the second installment of the two-part series, set to hit theaters on November 21, 2025, covering Act Two of the musical. Physical copies on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD will be released on February 4, 2025, and are available for preorder now.

As a Universal Pictures production, Wicked will eventually stream on Peacock, though a specific date has yet to be announced. Based on prior release patterns, it could arrive as early as March 2025.
