A two-day surgical camp for the treatment of eye diseases such as cataracts, black water, and others has been set up at the Civil Hospital in Sanghar. The camp was inaugurated by MNA Shazia Atta Mari, who noted the increasing number of eye disease cases in the area.
According to Civil Surgeon of Sanghar Dr Aftab Azam Srewal, the district administration and health department have made comprehensive arrangements to provide maximum benefit to the people. It's expected that over 450 surgeries will be performed, and more than 1,000 patients will receive eye exams and medication.
Expert doctors, including Dr Sajjad Ali Sarhio, will oversee the surgeries. The timely publicity by the information department has attracted people from remote areas, including Achhro Thar, and hundreds of patients have registered for the camp via phone. Surgeries will begin at night. If the number of patients increases, the camp may be extended for an additional day.
