The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) said on Saturday that the use of technology in the agricultural sector could generate $10 billion annually by increasing crop production by 30% and reducing crop losses by 75%.
P@SHA released a report on the Agri-Tech. According to the report, cooperation between universities, private sector and international experts should be promoted to increase productivity. It suggested that farmers should be connected to digital platforms by improving internet access in rural areas.
It also suggested investment in cold storage and transportation networks.
