Armed men kill citizen for bike
Armed bandits opened fire on a citizen while snatching his motorcycle, leaving him critically injured on the Banaras Bridge. The victim, 35-year-old Jamal Khan, succumbed to his injuries in Civil Hospital on Friday night.
According to rescue officials, Jamal was shot in the chest, with the bullet crossing over to the other side of his waist. His nephew, Saifullah, recounted the horrific events, stating that Jamal was riding his new 125 motorcycle with friend Sher Muhammad when two robbers stopped them at gunpoint. As grieve-stricken Jamal sat down on the road in shock, the robbers, mistaking his actions for reaching for a weapon, fired three to four shots. One bullet struck Jamal near the heart, proving fatal.
The robbers fled, leaving behind their motorcycle. Jamal was a resident of Pathan Colony. He had purchased the motorcycle just a week ago. He was a peanut and grocery seller, and his family hails from Swat.
