Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has expressed concerns over the alliance with the PML-N, calling it a "necessity, not a matter of affection".
"While we are part of the allied government, our voices are neither silenced nor our hands tied. We will speak out against any injustice," he said while addressing the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Kisan Wing Convention in Gujrat.
The event was attended by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, former federal minister Qamar Zaman Kaira and PPP Central Punjab General Secretary Hassan Murtaza.
The governor lamented the detrimental impact of PPP's coalition with PML-N in Punjab, saying that the partnership has severely harmed the party's standing.
"These power-sharing committees have been playing games for far too long, and the internal politics within these committees deeply troubles me," he said.
