A French national arriving in Pakistan from India has been caught with a large quantity of drugs.

According to an Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) spokesperson, nationwide operations against drug trafficking are ongoing. As part of this effort, ANF conducted an operation at Islamabad International Airport, recovering a significant quantity of drugs from the suspect.

The suspect had travelled from India to Islamabad and was en route to Sri Lanka via Muscat. Upon inspection, 1.58 kilograms of hashish were discovered in the suspect's luggage.

The individual, who had entered Pakistan on a visit visa, was attempting to smuggle the drugs by concealing them in chocolate packaging.

Authorities have registered a case against the suspect under the Anti-Narcotics Act and initiated an investigation.

A month ago ANF foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of cocaine into Pakistan at Karachi's Jinnah International Airport.

A Brazilian woman, arriving on a flight from Brazil, was arrested for attempting to smuggle 1.396 kilograms of cocaine concealed in her undergarments.

According to ANF officials, the woman was subjected to a search after appearing suspicious during passenger clearance.

During the search, authorities discovered the cocaine hidden in a plastic pouch inside her undergarments.

Earlier a young man addicted to "ice" brutally killed his father, brother, and niece with a dagger.

The suspect also severely injured his sister-in-law and two young nieces, who were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Hospital sources reported that the condition of two injured individuals remains critical, while the family is overwhelmed with shock and grief.

Police identified the arrested suspect as Faizan, a drug addict recently released from jail. Authorities revealed that he had previously injured one of his brothers in a shooting incident.
