An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday extended the physical remand of a suspect accused of killing three Rangers personnel during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) November 26 protest.

Judge Tahir Abbas Supra presided over the hearing related to the case, in which the accused, Hashim Abbasi, allegedly ran over the Rangers personnel with a vehicle.

The suspect was produced in court under tight security following the completion of his earlier physical remand. The Ramna police requested a 30-day extension to interrogate the accused and identify additional suspects based on his statements.

Prosecutor Raja Naveed informed the court, "The accused's interrogation is necessary to apprehend other suspects involved in the case."

However, the court rejected the police's request for a 30-day remand, granting a seven-day extension instead. Abbasi remains in police custody as investigations continue.
