Peter Droz, known online as Wholewheatpete, has responded to viral rumors alleging his arrest for lewd behavior at Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA) 2024.

Over the weekend, social media posts accused the popular streamer of exposing himself to women and minors during the event.

Posts circulating on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok claimed that Droz had been arrested for displaying nudity in a box, with some suggesting he had been added to the sex offender registry. One viral post on X stated: “Wholewheat Pete got arrested for showing his small shlong in a box to girls at AWA. That’s disgusting. He’s been banned from AWA and Momo.”

The accusations quickly sparked outrage online, with many expressing disgust over the alleged actions. Wholewheatpete, 26, was quick to deny the claims. In a statement, he called the rumors “false” and urged people to verify information before sharing it.

“It has come to my attention that false rumors have been circulating about an alleged arrest. I want to set the record straight: I have not been arrested, and there is no truth to the claims being spread at AWA,” Droz said.

Wholewheatpete is a popular online streamer, best known for his ‘NEZUKO CHAN’ series. He streams gaming content on platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok. Droz, who graduated from Georgia Tech in 2020, has since built a large following with games such as ‘Genshin Impact’ and ‘Osu!’.
