Senator Faisal Vawda has emphasised that any resolution of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) dialogue issue will be achieved through democratic processes.
He outlined a clear path for resolving political matters, stressing that discussions should continue in a democratic manner, Express News reported.
In a post on social media platform "X," Vawda expressed optimism, stating that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will meet soon to address the ongoing political challenges.
"I foresee a meeting between the Prime Minister and Bilawal in the coming days. I also believe the issue surrounding Maulana Fazlur Rehman will be resolved," he said.
Vawda further added that discussions on the political representation of parties like Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Balochistan People's Party (BAP) will also be resolved soon, describing the process as essential for moving forward in the country's democratic framework.
"I am hopeful that my efforts will not go to waste," Vawda continued. "I am confident that political parties will demonstrate responsibility, and through dialogue, we will resolve these matters."
Previously, Faisal Vawda had also suggested that the PTI's planned civil disobedience movement may be delayed, and the pretext of the martyrs issue could be used to postpone such actions.
In a conversation with a local TV channel, Senator Vawda said that the PTI was seemingly focused on protecting General (retd) Faiz Hameed, who was the corps commander in Peshawar when violence during the May 9 protests took place.
"PTI is doing everything it can to save Faiz Hameed," Vawda claimed. "If his neck is saved, so will others."
Vawda further asserted that the army, after gathering evidence, would likely issue a charge sheet against those responsible for the incidents on May 9.
He added that there had been growing evidence, including audio clips and messages, implicating the founding chairman of PTI Imran Khan, suggesting their role in the unrest.
"The only person in PTI who was not under Faiz Hameed’s control is the founder," Vawda stated.
In addition, Vawda expressed concerns over the issue of the madrasah registration bill, predicting that the government would find a way forward in the coming week.
He also suggested that if the May 9 violence were to be acknowledged, it would be impossible to dismiss the issue completely.
The senator also addressed the ongoing cases of Arshad Sharif's murder and the assassination attempt on Imran Khan, reaffirming that trustworthy individuals were involved in the assassination attempt on Khan.
Vawda criticised those attempting to distance themselves from the party's image and called for accountability regarding the May 9 events.
