Paramount+ unveiled the full teaser trailer for 1923 Season 2, the prequel to Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone, as the main series concluded its fifth season. The upcoming season, premiering February 23, follows Jacob (Harrison Ford) and Cara Dutton (Helen Mirren) as they face brutal winter conditions and threats to their ranch in Montana.

The trailer hints at intense drama, with Jacob declaring, “This ranch is under attack,” as the family battles to protect their legacy. Meanwhile, Spencer Dutton (Brandon Sklenar), separated from his wife Alex (Julia Schlaepfer), embarks on a dangerous journey back to Montana to save his family. Alex, determined to reunite with Spencer, faces her own perilous trans-Atlantic voyage.

The star-studded cast includes Timothy Dalton as a malevolent land baron, Jerome Flynn as his enforcer, and Dexter alum Jennifer Carpenter in a recurring role. 1923 explores the struggles of the next generation of Duttons, connecting to its predecessor, 1883, and the overarching themes of Yellowstone. Narrated by Elsa Dutton (Isabel May) from 1883, the series weaves a generational tale of perseverance, love, and survival.

Taylor Sheridan, co-creator of Yellowstone, helms the production alongside MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions. With high stakes and a richly layered narrative, 1923 Season 2 promises to continue the compelling legacy of the Dutton family as they fight to keep their land intact against mounting challenges.
