Rapper 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, has reportedly been released from prison after violating probation conditions.
The 28-year-old artist, who has had a tumultuous history of legal issues, was recently incarcerated for breaching the terms of his parole. This stemmed from his involvement in the RICO case against the Nine Trey Bloods gang, which led to his initial conviction.
As of Thursday, December 12, 6ix9ine is reportedly free again but under strict conditions. His release comes with a one-year probation extension, a home-stay order, electronic monitoring, and various other stipulations. Among these is the requirement to maintain a full-time, lawful job, adhere to home address restrictions, and comply with several other regulations.
While 6ix9ine's return to freedom offers him the opportunity to make amends and focus on his reformation, his time in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn was not without controversy. His past run-ins with the law have often made headlines, and this latest probation violation adds to his ongoing legal troubles.
One significant condition of his release appears to restrict his music career. Given that 6ix9ine must maintain a full-time job, it seems unlikely he will be able to pursue his music career for the time being. He had previously promised to stay "squeaky clean" after signing a new deal with Kartel Records, but his current legal obligations may complicate that path forward.
