Leaked text messages and staff testimonies have shed light on Liam Payne’s tragic final hours before his untimely death at 31. The former One Direction star was found dead after falling from his third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16, 2024.

Newly surfaced WhatsApp messages reveal Payne allegedly offered $5,000 to an escort for “party” activities at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, with further requests to include a friend. A hotel bellhop reported that Payne asked about purchasing cocaine shortly after checking in, a request denied by the staff member. Payne reportedly became agitated and insulted the employee.

Hotel staff disclosed Payne frequently called the reception, asking for alcohol and inquiring about drugs. The chief receptionist, Esteban Grassi, now under investigation, claimed he acted as a translator for two escorts Payne had invited to his room. They alleged Payne owed them $5,000, but the receptionist questioned the legitimacy of the claim, as Payne had earlier requested only $300.

Witnesses described Payne’s behavior as increasingly erratic in the hours leading to his death. The singer was reportedly active at night, repeatedly contacting hotel staff for alcohol and other substances.

Payne’s sudden death shocked fans worldwide, marking a devastating end to a career that had captured global attention. Known for his meteoric rise with One Direction, his final days stand in stark contrast to his earlier success.

As investigations continue, Payne’s death raises pressing questions about the role of substance abuse and mental health in the entertainment industry. Fans and loved ones mourn the loss of a beloved artist, whose life ended far too soon.
