In an episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Keira Knightley recently confessed that the prospect of revisiting children’s programming, particularly Peppa Pig, has discouraged her from considering a third child.
“I could do the pregnancy. I could even do the birth. But I cannot watch any more Peppa Pig. It’s not going to happen,” the Black Doves star quipped, drawing laughter from the audience.
Knightley, 39, shares two daughters, Edie, 9, and Delilah, 5, with her husband, musician James Righton. Reflecting on her children’s TV preferences, she shared her relief that they’ve outgrown Peppa Pig in favor of Studio Ghibli films, calling the switch “just lovely, after seven years of Peppa Pig.”
The Oscar-nominated actress appeared on the show to promote her new Netflix spy thriller series Black Doves. The series, which premiered this month, features Knightley in the lead role alongside Ben Whishaw and Sarah Lancashire, adding to the project’s star-studded cast.
Knightley and Righton tied the knot in 2013 and have since balanced their careers with parenthood. Despite joking about the challenges of parenting young children, Knightley expressed pride in her daughters and appreciation for their evolving tastes, now favoring the critically acclaimed animations of Studio Ghibli.
As Knightley embraces the next chapter of her career with Black Doves, fans also got a glimpse into her humorous take on family life, making her even more relatable to parents around the globe.
