Mariah Carey celebrates Billboard success with onstage surprise from her children
Mariah Carey, widely celebrated as the "Queen of Christmas," received a heartfelt surprise from her 13-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, after her iconic holiday song, All I Want for Christmas Is You, reclaimed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The moment unfolded onstage during her Raleigh, North Carolina, concert on December 9, part of her ongoing Christmas Time tour.
In a video shared on Instagram, the twins presented Carey with a large bouquet of flowers after an announcement highlighted her chart-topping achievement. Addressing her fans, Carey expressed gratitude: “Wow! That was the perfect moment to find that out. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.”
Marking the 30th anniversary of her Merry Christmas album, which features the holiday anthem, Carey released a deluxe edition earlier this year. Her Christmas Time tour has been a culmination of months of preparation and collaboration with talents like Debbie Allen, featuring songs and duets she has never performed live before.
Carey shared her emotions on Instagram, writing, "I couldn’t have dreamed of a better time or place to celebrate the news than on stage with my amazing fans, my kids, and my #Christmastime tour family."
