Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have redefined “cool” with their latest Still G.I.N. ad, featuring an AI-powered encounter with musical icons Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. The groundbreaking ad aired on December 10 during the finale of NBC’s The Voice, where Snoop completed his first season as a coach.
In the cinematic spot, Dre and Snoop, dressed in sharp tuxedos, stride through a glamorous nightclub. Their entrance catches the attention of Sinatra and Davis, who approach them. The exchange is playful, with Sammy asking, “What are you guys drinking?” Snoop responds with his signature style, “Gin,” and Dre adds, “Still G.I.N.”
“Still G.I.N. for everybody!” declares Sinatra, as the crowd cheers. The ad closes with the four legends sharing a toast around a table, blending timeless artistry with cutting-edge technology.
The ad, created in collaboration with generative AI company Metaphysic, director Dave Meyers, and the estates of Sinatra and Davis, reimagines the meeting of past and present.
Tina Sinatra, 76, daughter of Frank Sinatra, praised the innovative campaign. “To see Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg alongside my dad and Sammy Davis Jr. in such a revolutionary way is both thrilling and surreal,” she said. “It’s a celebration of timeless artistry, breaking barriers, and the enduring legacy of collaboration across generations.”
The ad also features a cameo by actress Lori Harvey, adding another layer of modern glamor.
Still G.I.N. By Dre and Snoop, launched in February, is touted as “defiantly smooth,” offering a clean, mixable flavor. Retailing at $34.99, the gin is available nationally through Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits.
The ad stands as a powerful nod to the enduring influence of legends past, brought to life in a way that bridges eras and celebrates creative collaboration.
