Kim Kardashian, celebrated for her efforts in criminal justice reform, is being called upon by fans to assist Luigi Mangione, the suspect in the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Thompson, 50, was tragically killed on December 4 in what authorities describe as a targeted attack in New York City.

Following a widespread manhunt, Mangione, a 26-year-old Ivy League graduate with a self-described "anti-capitalist" stance, was apprehended at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on December 9.

Amidst his arrest, Mangione has garnered a passionate online following. Many have praised his actions, with some dubbing him a “martyr.”

Fans are now rallying for Kardashian, who has championed criminal justice causes since 2018, to lend her support.

Poking fun at her famous work ethic mantra, one fan wrote on X: “Get your a** up and work @kimkardashian.”

Another tweeted: “Somebody please contact Kim Kardashian and tell her to protect Luigi Mangione. He cannot go to jail.”

Despite not yet being a licensed attorney, Kardashian has already played a significant role in freeing individuals like Alice Marie Johnson and advocating for the Menendez brothers' resentencing.

Her legal journey began in memory of her father, attorney Robert Kardashian, and she is set to take the California bar exam in 2025.

While some fans believe Kardashian could step in, others are skeptical, suggesting that her billionaire status might prevent her from going against “corrupt rich people.”

Mangione, who awaits extradition to New York City, was found with a firearm and a handwritten document expressing “ill will toward corporate America” at the time of his arrest.

The document reportedly stated, “I wasn’t working with anyone…these parasites simply had it coming.”

Authorities have noted that the bullets used in the crime were inscribed with the words “delay,” “deny,” and “depose,” mimicking phrases used to criticize the insurance industry.

Mangione’s family expressed their devastation in a statement: “Our family is shocked and devastated by Luigi's arrest. We offer our prayers to the family of Brian Thompson and we ask people to pray for all involved.”
