Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone made her much-anticipated first public appearance after the birth of her daughter, Dua, at the Dil-Luminati concert by Diljit Dosanjh.
The event took place at NICE Grounds, Madavara, in her hometown of Bengaluru, and marked a joyful moment for the new mother.
Deepika, dressed in a white sweatshirt and jeans, appeared visibly happy as she joined Diljit on stage during his concert.
The actress even grooved briefly with the singer as he performed his popular track "Lover."
In a video shared by Diljit’s team on Instagram, the singer expressed his admiration for Padukone, calling her an "inspiration" and praising her significant contributions to Bollywood.
"I’ve seen her on the big screen and never imagined I’d be able to see her up close," said Diljit. He added, "She has made a remarkable mark in the industry all by herself."
Padukone’s appearance at the concert comes just a few months after welcoming her daughter with husband Ranveer Singh on September 8, 2024.
The couple announced their baby’s arrival with an emotional post on Diwali, revealing their daughter's name, Dua Padukone Singh.
The couple explained the meaning behind her name, saying, “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude."
Deepika and Ranveer, who married in 2018, have been enjoying the joys of parenthood and have kept their personal lives private, with this concert marking the first time Deepika has been seen in public since giving birth.
