Minor dies after being injured in crossfire

A 12-year-old boy who was critically injured in crossfire between two rival groups in the Chung area, has died in hospital after battling for his life for six days.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Chuhng Police Station when the victim Waqas was struck by a bullet in the shoulder.

Despite intensive treatment at Services Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

Police have transferred the body for post-mortem via an Edhi ambulance and have initiated legal proceedings.

Authorities confirmed that two suspects involved in the firing have been arrested, while the main culprits remain at large.
