Jack Veal, the British actor known for portraying Kid Loki in the Marvel series Loki, recently shared a hopeful update about his situation after revealing his struggles with homelessness and abuse. In a TikTok video posted on December 2, 2024, Veal, 17, bravely opened up about his difficult past. After fleeing an abusive household, he is currently living in a trailer in London. The actor described his traumatic upbringing, which involved both physical and emotional abuse, and mentioned his ongoing mental health challenges, including autism, ADHD, and potential bipolar disorder and psychosis.
Veal explained that, after leaving home, he couldn't stay with his grandparents due to his grandfather’s terminal illness and has been forced to live on the streets and in an unsafe trailer. In his TikTok, he expressed frustration with being turned away by social services and made a heartfelt plea for help. The video quickly went viral, sparking widespread support from fans, with many offering their well-wishes, shelter suggestions, and even spare rooms.

In a follow-up video, Veal thanked his supporters for their kind words but clarified that his primary objective was to gain assistance from the appropriate authorities. Hours later, he shared a more positive update, revealing that social services had contacted him to arrange a meeting regarding potential foster care and accommodation. Veal, visibly emotional, expressed immense gratitude for the overwhelming response, noting that it was the first time social services had considered his case for accommodation.
While Veal has not launched a personal fundraising campaign, he encouraged his followers to donate to the Lost Soul Charity, an organization that helps individuals facing homelessness by providing care, accommodations, and essential supplies such as tents, sleeping bags, and food.
