A 37-member delegation from the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association (PBSA) participated in the 16 Days of Activism campaign and the launch of Pathways to Equality, organised by UNICEF Pakistan at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad.
Led by PBSA International Affairs Deputy Director Tauseef Siddiqui, the scouts demonstrated their dedication to raising awareness about gender equality and combating child marriages in Pakistan.
Scouts from institutions such as Faizul Islam Faizabad Campus, Penken International School G-6, Arqam School I-10, Ismaili Scouts, and PIA Scouts participated actively in the event. Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeem Tarar, Parliamentary Secretary Saba Sadiq, and Federal Secretary Allah Dino Khawaja inaugurated the launch.
In keynote speeches, UNICEF Deputy Representative Sharmeel Rasool and UN Resident Coordinator Mohammad Yahya highlighted the crucial role of youth in promoting gender parity and tackling pressing issues like child marriage.
The event concluded with moving documentaries and stories of empowerment, leaving attendees inspired to contribute to an equitable society. Through initiatives like this, PBSA continues to position itself as a leading force for youth engagement and positive societal change.
