Robbers loot, injure 65-year-old man

He was immediately transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Two armed robbers snatched money from an elderly citizen as he reached near his house after withdrawing money from a bank and injured him on resistance.

The victim was identified as 65-year-old Sher Ali Nimat. He was injured by armed robbers on robbery resistance incident near Chandni Chowk, Orangi Town, area of Iqbal Market Police Station. He was immediately transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

SHO Aslam Khan told the Express Tribune that Nimat runs a Zari business and was returning home with Rs0.2 million from a private bank located in Orangi Town Sector 13 along with his son on a motorcycle.

As soon as they approached the house, two armed accused, on a bike, came to sight. They snatched the money on gun point and opened fire when the victim resisted robbery. They escaped the scene without any hindrance.
