A 50-year-old man was allegedly kidnapped while he was on his way to the hospital for a check-up in the limits of Gujar Khan police station of Rawalpindi.

After going missing, the man's son received a call from him, in which he said that he had been kidnapped and brought to Sindh in chains. The police registered a case of abduction and started the investigation. As per The Express Tribune's report, the kidnappers demanded Rs2million as ransom.

As per case details, Nasrullah was en route to the Government District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi on November 22 to get some tests done. He had called and informed his son that he had reached the hospital. However, later, he received a call came from another number.

The call was from his father who said that he had been kidnapped from Rawalpindi and brought to Sindh in chains. After this, both the unknown phone number and Nasrullah's number have remained switched off.

When contacted by The Express Tribune, the complainant said that earlier, when the phone numbers were still open, Rs2 million were being demanded for the release of his father, however, later on there was no way to reach the kidnappers.

When the Gujar Khan police were contacted in this regard, the SHO Gujar Khan said that a case of abduction has been registered, and other information including the timings of the calls is being obtained.
