Ellen DeGeneres’ newly purchased overseas home is reportedly submerged in floodwaters. The former host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show has seen her mansion in Cotswolds, England, heavily impacted by regional floods.

A local resident told the Daily Mail on Saturday, “The flood waters are rising by the hour. This is the worst I have seen it in years.”

The 43-acre property that DeGeneres, 66, shares with her wife, Portia De Rossi, is reportedly surrounded by what resembles a swamp-like lake after days of relentless rain and winds reaching up to 80 mph.

DeGeneres is said to have moved abroad because she wanted to “get the hell out” of the United States following Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.

A source previously told TMZ that the comedian and her wife felt “very disillusioned” by the election results, prompting them to settle in their UK home, which they had purchased prior to the election.

However, the Ellen alum had expressed her strong support for Kamala Harris in the lead-up to Election Day.

“There’s nothing more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can’t wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next president,” she shared on Instagram in August.

Before relocating to England, DeGeneres and De Rossi primarily resided in California, where they had also experienced severe flooding in the past.

The former talk show host faced significant backlash in Hollywood after her 2020 toxic workplace scandal.

In September, DeGeneres humorously referenced her Hollywood fallout in her new Netflix special, which was criticized by reviewers and ultimately underperformed.

Since moving to the UK, DeGeneres seems to be opting for a quieter, more private lifestyle.

Earlier this month, she was seen at a pub in England sporting a new brunette hairstyle.
