MWM lawmaker seeks Kurram debate

A Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) lawmaker has submitted an adjournment motion in the National Assembly, seeking debate on the ongoing law and order situation it the Kurram district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Hameed Hussain, Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from NA-37 Kurram, has stated in his motion that dozens of people have been killed and injured in the recent attacks, adding that the violence has terrified the local population.

As the "delicate security situation has further deteriorated", the motion says, the National Assembly should take immediate notice, and a detailed discussion should be held in the house.
