ISLAMABAD:

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) reserved its ruling on Wednesday on a request from power distribution companies (DISCOs) for the recovery of Rs6.48 billion from consumers under the July-September quarterly adjustment mechanism.

Consumers are currently paying an additional Rs1.74 per unit under the fourth-quarter adjustment of the previous fiscal year, which Nepra officials suggest, would end this month. For the next three months, a decision on an additional Rs0.09 to Rs0.36 per unit tariff adjustment was pending.
