The Women's Park in Shalimar Garden, Peshawar, has been reopened following the intervention of K-P Minister for Social Welfare Syed Qasim Ali Shah. The minister directed that banners announcing free entry be displayed outside the park.

During his visit to Shalimar Park, the minister found the park designated for women closed. He immediately ordered its reopening and instructed that banners be placed at the entrance, emphasising free admission to ensure women could benefit from the facility without any hindrance.

The Metropolitan Peshawar director general and other relevant officials accompanied him during the visit. The DG provided a detailed briefing on the park's current condition and available facilities.

In response, the minister issued instructions to improve cleanliness, security, and other basic amenities at the facility.

The minister also announced plans to organise a recreational festival for women soon, aiming to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for them. These measures reflect the government's commitment to providing secure recreational facilities for women.
