State Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja has emphasized the transformative potential of technology in empowering women, asserting that access to digital devices and the internet was essential in closing the gender gap in today's world.
Speaking via video link at the Digitalisation and Women in Politics conference in Qatar, she expressed the government's determination to address the digital gender divide.
"Empowering women through access to technology is crucial," Khawaja said. "We are committed to eliminating barriers that hinder women from using mobile phones and ICT."
