PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi has said that the provincial government is making tireless efforts to align education with the needs of the modern era and produce market oriented best manpower.

He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the newly constructed building of Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak as chief guest on Saturday.

The ceremony was also addressed by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Naseeruddin, while Provincial Minister for Agriculture Major (retd) Muhammad Sajjad Barakwal, Member National Assembly Shahid Khan Khattak, Member Provincial Assembly Khurshid Ahmed Khattak, university professors, students and a large number of party district leadership and workers were also present on the occasion.

The provincial minister said that it is a good thing that the literacy rate in Karak district is very encouraging, but there is a need to popularize research-based education so that the best scholars are produced.

Meena Khan said, although we are not getting the support we should have from the federal government due to which there are economic problems in the province, despite that the incumbent government will invest in its youth according to Imran Khan's vision to produce the best and most talented generation and will not allow any harm to the quality of education.

The Minister said that Imran Khan is concerned enough about his people even in the jail and he has clear directions that education should be kept at the top at all cost and no compromise should be made on the rights of the people. When Imran Khan is so concerned and sad for us, the nation should also respond wholeheartedly to his final call of November 24 accordingly.

Therefore, the people must come out of their homes on November 24 to release Imran from unjust imprisonment, the Minister concluded.
