Former record executive and convicted felon Marion “Suge” Knight recently made claims about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged relationship with R&B singer Usher. He shared these allegations during a prison call interview with Michael Franzese, which was uploaded to YouTube on November 12.
“Worst part about it is, everybody said what was done to Usher and they have done it to Justin Bieber. And the deal with Usher, Usher spent the night with him and Puffy being in the same bed,” Suge claimed.
Knight, the co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records, also alleged that when he first met Usher, Diddy’s associates warned him to avoid getting “too close” to the singer, claiming that Combs allegedly “had a thing” for Usher.
During the podcast episode, Suge Knight criticized Usher and Snoop Dogg for not publicly addressing the allegations against Diddy or showing support during his ongoing legal battles. Knight mentioned that he reached out to Usher early in his career, describing him as a “young, Black man” making “good music.”
"is dude rolled his eyes at me… and somebody came over and said, ‘You know don’t have one of your guys do nothing to him [Usher]… he, a good young man. And even Puffy got a thing,’” Knight shared.
Knight recalled that when he sought clarification, the person’s response made him suspect that Usher and Diddy were not merely friends but allegedly “boyfriends.”
“The crazy thing about it is like… his mother and everybody else said the same thing. Well, it was wrong. But if we go get Puffy in trouble behind that, Usher wouldn’t be Usher. He’d be known as a guy molested by Puffy. And they didn’t want that. They wanted money,” Marion shared.
Knight clarified that he held no ill will toward Usher and acknowledged his talent, calling him a “good guy” who deserved better. He also claimed that alleged exploitation in the music industry predated Usher, Justin Bieber, or Diddy and extended back to Michael Jackson.
Additionally, Suge blamed Usher for allegedly allowing Diddy to victimize Justin Bieber, despite his own experiences. While Usher mentored Bieber and later introduced him to Diddy, Knight noted that Usher himself had been mentored by Combs.
