Police officers allegedly robbed a citizen during a 'snap checking'.

Rabia, the wife of victim Maqsood Khyber, filed a complaint with the PIB police station, stating that her husband was coming home from work.

He was stopped by police on University Road near New Town U-turn. The policemen conducted a body search and made off with Rs20,000, Maqsood had in his wallet. The policemen involved in the incident are head constable Abdul Rehman, Shah Muhammad, and Ayan Iqbal, Rabia mentioned in her complaint.

SSP east, Dr. Farrukh Raza has confirmed that a citizen has filed a complaint at the PIB police station, alleging that police officers from the same police station stopped the victim, conducted body search, and snatched his money.

The SHO of PIB police station has also confirmed that the money was indeed taken from the citizen. Consequently, the cops involved in the incident have been suspended.
